Quintero Wedding: Reception

Sarah, one of Chef Lou's culinary school friends, had her wedding reception later that night. Throughout the night the room was filled with friends and family munching on delicious bites while catching up with each other. The room was gorgeous and so was the beautiful glowing bride.

The reception hall at the Fox Hollow Golf Course was a spacious and attractive room.

The flower centerpieces were absolutely gorgeous. LOVED them!

To add height to the buffet, we put our cute ribbon-wrapped candles on these elegant candlesticks.

On the food side of things, Sarah and Nick wanted an appetizer buffet with a good selection of sweet and non-sweet items.

Our famous Pork Crostini- always a big hit

We're finding that our Southwestern Sweet Potato bites please every palate; they were gobbled up so quickly!

Our modern signage fit well with the decor and Sarah's colors.

Some of the less-adventurous people really missed out on our pistachio gelato- it was so tasty and Chef Lou's culinary friends raved about it!

These individual cones were so darling!

We served 3 types of perfect cookies: the White Chocolate Macadamia Nut cookie was loaded with all the good stuff, the Chocolate Chip Toffee Cookie was chewy and dense, and the Orange cookie was soft and moist.

As an event staff, we really enjoyed catering your wedding,
Thanks Sarah!

Picnic Nuptuals

We love original weddings! It's fun for us to pair menu items with the theme in addition to decorating the buffet. This picnic theme really worked for the bride and for the venue too; it was in a beautiful backyard in Highland.

On the menu were our signature pulled pork sliders with optional "angry onions"...

...mini potato bites with an herbed cheese spread...

I just love the signage we made for this wedding!

...handmade meatballs with three different sauces: lemon-thyme cream sauce, chimichurri, and a southwestern sauce...

It was fun for the guests to come back several times and try a different sauce with each visit!

...and we made a new appetizer, Italian bites with marinara dipping sauce.

These Italian bites are filled with melty mozzarella cheese.

For drinks we served our Brazillian Mojito in individual milk bottles. It fit so well with the Bride's theme!

This was an interesting decorating task. Picnics are very causal: eating on blankets, serving drinks out of coolers, etc. However, weddings are on the opposite end of the spectrum. We decided to display the various finger foods on long buffet tables, and incorporated little picnic touches: daisies in mason jars, wooden crates, picnic basket, and burlap.

Congratulations to the bride and groom! We sure loved being a part of your celebration.

Appetizer Possibilities

When it comes to planning an event, especially a wedding, we've seen many people want to make it fun and unique. They want their guests to have an enjoyable and memorable time at the party. Then why are people still choosing to serve deli sandwich trays?! Let's step away from the neighborhood deli and talk about treating your guests right with mouthwatering morsels.

Expand your Horizons; the options are endless

Chef Lou has an unparallelled passion for food. She loves to create new menu items that fit perfectly with your tastebuds and style of the event. Your guests will be blown away at the quality and variety of Savory's food choices. Give them a (food) experience to remember and set your event apart.

One of our newest appetizers is the Southwestern Sweet Potato Cake. Chef Lou was tinkering around in her kitchen one day and created this appetizer. This is a truly unique bite: it has a warm sweet potato cake, fresh avocado, black bean and corn salsa, lime creme fraiche and garnished with a spinach chiffonade.

Thanks to Bekah loss Photography for the delicious pictures.

Expanding our Horizons

We love to cater weddings. Each bride brings their personality to the celebration and every wedding is a fun, unique event.

However, we're not a one trick pony. We bring our professional skills to all kinds events. Like this Business Women's Forum at Pierpont Place in SLC.

Our vegetable baguette cups are colorful and refreshing; fresh crisp vegetables and soft bread with a creamy dill dip

We served our wonderfully tasty pork crostini with a fried spinach leaf for a pop of color.

Even our signs had a rustic, traditional Irish theme.

Our mini potato bites are great for appetizer buffets; a perfect piece for popping!

Thanks to Pierpont Place and their wonderful staff who helped put this event together. We had a great time! Book us for your next fundraiser, work party or other celebration.
